BTSA - Brevet de Technicien Supérieur Agricole - a 2 year higher education course .

( Higher National Certificate / Degree in Agriculture)

Four BTSA courses are provided in Fontaines:

1. ACSE - Analyse, Conduite and Stratégie de l'Entreprise agricole - Analysis, Strategy and management of a farming business. A two-year full time course at our school of Fontaines.
2. PA - Productions Animales : a two-year animal production study combined with work experience on farms or in agriculture related companies. 39 weeks at school in Fontaines and 55 weeks as an apprentice.
3. APV - Agronomie, Production Végétales : a two-year agronomy and plant production study combined with work experience on farms or in agriculture related companies.
4. Aménagement Paysager : a two- year landscape development study at our school site of Tournus , combined with work experience.

All classes are in French.

BTSA Analyse, Conduite et Stratégie de l'Entreprise Agricole

Analysis, Strategy and management of a farming business.
(A two-year full time course at our school of Fontaines.)

Careers expected

• farmers,
• Technician  with companies specialized in consulting  and development,  technician in supplying  or  trading,
• Financing  and  management adviser within accounting offices,  advisers with farmers’ banks  or insurance companies.

Course objects

• Global view of the farming world  and of the  public policies,
• Financial and economical management of a farming business, agriculture strategies to gain competitiveness while respecting environment,
• Running of biotechnological production units, management of human resources.

BTSA Productions Végétales

APV - Agronomie, Production Végétales : a two-year agronomy and plant production study combined with work experience on farms or in agriculture related companies.

• Technician with companies specialized in consulting and development, technician in supplying or trading in the field of plants or crops; technical salesman
• Farmers or in charge of cultivations on a farm
